Our final book study for the year was Flat Stanley by Jeff Brown.
Our class loved Flat Stanley! This fun book, paired with these novel study companion activities, helped my students practice essential literacy and reading comprehension skills!

This book study unit is packed with fun activities that will help your First Grade, Second Grade, Third Grade, and Fourth Grade students with story elements, making predictions, character traits, making text to self connections, author's purpose, main idea, making inferences, vocabulary, writing, giving opinions and advice, problem and solution, story retell, reading comprehension, and much more!
Using the chapter book, my students filled in comprehension questions about the story. They had to provide evidence from the text! They are getting good at close reading!
