Is Your Name On Your Paper?

A perfect teacher hack! This tip ensures that ALL students write their names on their papers {and it works for ANY grade!} #teacherhacks #teachertips #nameonpaper #backtoschool #classroom #classroomtips #classmanagement #classroomorganization
While stalking reading other teaching blogs, I came across this fantastic idea that will help ALL students to remember to write their names on their papers before handing it in.

I filled a bucket with different colored highlighters and placed it beside the basket where work gets handed in. Before students put their finished work into the basket, they need to highlight their names. If there is no name to highlight, they know they need to put their names on their papers!

{Apparently this idea is not new, and I am all about giving credit where credit is due! I have traced it back to these sources: Proteacher, Ladybug Teacher Files, and Mrs. Williamson's Kinders.}

My personal thanks to Mrs. Williamson for the downloadable label!
This tip will work well for students of all ages. And, of course, if highlighting their names still doesn't do the trick, students can be directed to find their work here:

  1. I'm a new follower of your blog! I love the no name ideas! I sing a song about putting your name on your paper...It is to If You are Happy and You Know It Clap Your Hands and goes like this: Put your name on your paper on your paper, Put your name on your paper on your paper. Put your name on your paper so I can give it to you later, put your name on your paper on your paper!
