In The Pigeon Wants a Puppy by Mo Willems, Pigeon sets out to convince us that he really, really wants a puppy! In fact, Pigeon has wanted one forever...well, at least since last Tuesday :) This fun read aloud, paired with these book companion activities, will help students in Kindergarten and First Grade practice important literacy and reading comprehension skills in a FUN way!

That is, until a puppy comes along and frightens Pigeon to death. It's HUGE! And it has teeth, and is hairy, and has a wet nose, and slobber, and claws. Pigeon has changed his mind on the whole puppy thing. Now Pigeon wants a walrus!
