HENRY AND MUDGE AND THE TALL TREE HOUSE

Henry and Mudge and the Tall Tree House by Cynthia Rylant has Henry and his sidekick Mudge excited to get their very own tree house. Uncle Jake stops by for a visit, and has all the tools and lumber they need in his pickup truck. It's time to build!

As Uncle Jake gets to work, Henry started to worry. How was Mudge going to get up into the tree house with him? Suddenly Henry wasn't so excited to have a tree house after all.

Henry didn't want to hurt Uncle Jake's feelings, so he pretended to like his new tree house. But he really felt disappointed that he had to leave his dog, Mudge, behind.

Every so often, Henry would come down from his tree house and go inside the house to see Mudge. He missed his friend.

Uncle Jake came up with a new plan. 

He put the tree house in Henry's bedroom! Now both Henry and Mudge could enjoy the tree house.

And, best of all, they got to be together.
