HOW TO CATCH A YETI
How to Catch a Yeti is a fun new addition to the 'How to Catch' series by Adam Wallace.
The children find signs of a Yeti...some giant footprints in the snow, among other things! They get excited and begin their search for the elusive Yeti!
They search, call out, and set up lures and creative traps in hopes to capture the Yeti.
Even though the children have found the Yeti's lair, they do not have an easy time spotting the Yeti.
Why would you even want to catch a Yeti? Your students will have fun coming up with their own reasons!
As with the other 'How to Catch' books, it's fun to see the creative and interesting traps and lures the children come up with in their pursuit of capturing their target.
It is always so fun to see what advice students give to the main character in the story :)
The unit includes a craftivity, where students can draw and write about their own Yeti-catching plans. It makes a fun bulletin board display to showcase student learning.
This book study activity unit is packed with companion activities to go with the book How to Catch a Yeti by Adam Wallace. It is aligned to Common Core, VA SOL, and TEKS learning standards (standards checklists are included in the unit). The unit is great for Kindergarten and First Grade literacy learning.
