MOOSELTOE BOOK ACTIVITIES
In the Christmas book Mooseltoe by Margie Palatini, the main character is preparing for Christmas, and wants everything to be PERFECTLY PERFECT for his family.
Moose works very hard to get things ready for Christmas. He is very busy checking off items on his to-do list. With so much to be done, he writes Christmas cards, shops, wraps gifts, decorates, bakes, and hangs up the stockings.
In his quest to create the perfect Christmas, Moose realizes he forgets one important detail- the Christmas tree!
Moose decides to decorate himself as a Christmas tree, which works thanks to his enormous moustache. This book has an entertaining story, yet speaks a good message about focusing on what is really important vs perfectionism.
This book activities unit is packed with a wide variety of Common Core aligned literacy companion activities for Kindergarten and First Grade. It includes a craftivity that makes a fun bulletin board display to showcase student learning.
