RHYMING DUST BUNNIES ACTIVITIES
Meet the Rhyming Dust Bunnies! They are Ed, Ned, Ted, and....Bob. And they like to rhyme all the time!
The dust bunnies LOVE rhyming games! This book is great to teach the concept of rhyme to young learners in Kindergarten and First Grade.
Bob the dust bunny is a little different than his dust bunny friends...he notices things that are going on around him. Like, for instance, when a BROOM is coming at them, or the VACUUM CLEANER!
This Rhyming Dust Bunnies book study unit is packed with Common Core aligned literacy activities, rhyming activities, and a craftivity.
There are three rhyming activities in this unit. One has students making rhyming words that go with the ones the dust bunnies say! There are two pages with this skill included in the pack.
Another rhyme activity has students coloring the rhyming words in each row. There are two pages with this skill included in the pack.
There is also a 'Rhyme the Room' activity, where students will look for the dust bunnies posted around the room and will arrange the words on the dust bunnies by words that rhyme. Active learning is FUN!
Comprehension activities, like this True or False page, ensure that students understand the mentor text.
This Rhyming Dust Bunnies craftivity is a fun wrap up activity, where students can make some text to self connections as they use their imagination while completing this writing activity.
