We've had lots of hands-on fun with sight words this week!
Sight Word Spin and Graph
In this activity, students take turns spinning a little top, then they wait to see what sight word it lands on.
When it stops on a word, they color in a square and continue the game.
Play continues until one word has all of the spaces filled in.

I also have an alphabet version...find it {here}!
Read It! Stamp It! Write It!

Read It! Stamp It! Write It!
In this station, students read the sight word, stamp it with letter stamps, then write the word.
It's a student favorite!
My pack includes Fry's first 100 words. I made booklets of 10 sight words in each.

Hidden Words
This is another student favorite!
At this station, students print sight words in the spaces, using WHITE crayon.
When they color over the spaces with marker, the words 'magically' appear!
This great idea is from Adventures in First Grade, and is a freebie you can get {here}
Listening Center
A new Pete the Cat selection...this time he is rocking in his school shoes!

UPDATE 2016: I have created bundles of month-long literacy centers, to make things easy for Kindergarten teachers!
The packs include literacy activities in these 5 areas of learning:
1)Writing 2)Listening to reading 3) Word work (sight words) 4) Phonics/alphabet 5) Phonemic awareness
The packs are laid out, week by week, for the entire month. They include 5 stations for students to rotate through per week, with all of the components you’ll need for each activity.
Assessment tools are included to help keep learning on track and to keep your students accountable.
Learning is spiraled throughout the month, to help students build on their prior learning.
