THE HAT BOOK ACTIVITIES
WRITE THE ROOM
Students worked with vocabulary words while matching the story words to the pictures that are posted throughout the classroom. This scavenger hunt type of lesson is a great way to incorporate some active learning!
CLASS BOOK
Students write about whether or not they think animals should wear clothes and add their page to the class book. It will be a favorite in your classroom library!
STORY SEQUENCING
Students practiced sequencing the story as they cut and paste the characters in the order in which they appear in the story The Hat.
CRAFTS
This craft has students retell the story or write about their favorite part. Students love to see their work on display, to showcase their learning!

Students searched the room for wintery words and copied them down on their page.

Students get practice printing and copying words using these handwriting books.
READ/WRITE/BUILD
Students read the sight word, write it, then cut and paste the letters to 'build' each word.
