GO ON A LETTER HUNT
Make some alphabet pointers using magnetic letters. Use them for a letter hunt around the classroom! Students have to find the letter that's on their pointer.
GO ON A COLOUR HUNT
Print some colour words on paper bags and have students work in groups to hunt around the room for things that are that colour.
LETTER RECOGNITION/SOUNDS
Pass a bag full of letters around the circle. When the song ends, whoever is holding the bag picks a letter and says its name. {They could also say its sound, a word that begins with that letter, etc.}
 This pin has no link to its origin...if you made it please let me know so I can give credit where credit is due :)
LETTER MAZES
{FREEBIES}
My students love this activity! Starting at the top, they highlight the path of uppercase & lowercase letters until they get to the bottom.
NAME PRINTING PAGES
{FREEBIES}
These free, customizable pages can be used to teach your students how to print their names properly. It can be part of a writing centre at the beginning of the year, or can even be sent home for extra practice!
