Award Winner, Rule Breaker, Party Planner, Candycane Sucker

Sitting here, sucking on a candycane left over from Christmas, I am beginning to feel like I need to prepare for going back to work next week. Somewhat. Sort of.

So I am stalking you all checking out all of the great things that you have been doing in your classrooms. After a solid day, I am nearly updated on all of the blogs I follow. It has been a goal of mine to get through them all over the holidays. Yay for crossing things off of lists!

But first I need to update this blog.

What a fantastic way to start the new year! Sweet Michelle at Inspired by Kindergarten and Jessica of The Littlest Scholars have both awarded me the Versatile Blogger Award!!! Thanks ladies! Please check out their blogs--they are fantastic!

The rules are:
1.Thank the person who nominated you and link back to them.
2.Tell 7 things about yourself.
3.Pass it on to to 15 newly discovered blogs.and let them know they've received the award.

Seven Things You've Always Wanted To Know About Me
{hahahahaha}
1. As referenced above, I am a LIST LOVER. I have lists about everything. Literally. Almost literally.
2. I have finally discovered how to share freebies on Google docs. I know, it's about time, right? After fighting with it playing with it for a few days, I came out on top. And after being completely confused about how to create a document with the awesome borders I have found on Frog Spot, I think I have conquered that too! {Check, check.}
3. This winter I have finally watched the Polar Express, for my first time ever. It was at Ontario Place in Toronto, in 3D on the Cinesphere's six storey screen...it was amazing!
4. I am in the throes of party planning...for an 80's Party! Can I just say that the music from the 80's was the best? I am getting completely nostalgic. Like, totally.
Shopping for things to wear to the party shouldn't be too hard...the stores are full of things I used to wear in grade school/high school eg. legwarmers, neon colours, skinny jeans. Gag me with a spoon!
5. I don't know one single teacher {in real life} who blogs. So where did I get the idea to start a teaching blog???
6. I hate winter. Did I just use the 'h' word? You betcha. Here in Canada it lasts a loooong time. I'm counting down to March. Is that wrong?
7. I am afraid of frogs.

Blogs that are New {to Me}
This is tough. As mentioned above, I have yet to catch up on my blogging. I honestly can't name 15 blogs that I have newly discovered...especially ones that haven't already received this award! I hate to be a rule- breaker, but I am naming just a few:

Hope you all are enjoying what's left of your holidays! And if you are back at it already...bless your hearts. Now excuse me while I hibernate for just a few more days...

  4. I am still hibernating...counting the days left but really, I do miss my guys. Looking forward to trying the new ideas I found over the holidays, so many great blogs and great ideas. I agree, I don't know any Canadian teachers that blog...I love to follow but am not ready to try my own. I think your blog is wonderful ! If you went to Ontario Place I am thinking Southern Ontario....not that I am stalking you, maybe you want your location to be unknown, I am just the curious type !! I know a few families that attend Calvin Christian but again, you may not want to share that info and I totally understand. Just fun to read about a teacher nearby. Thanks for sharing !
