I just had to order the book The Daily 5: Fostering Literacy Independence In The Elementary Grades and I've been reading over the summer break.
If you do the Daily 5, and even if you don't, I have a freebie for you!
These classroom posters will help your students remember how to choose books that are a 'good-fit' just for them!
The posters may be used in conjunction with the Daily 5 program. But even if you do not do the Daily 5 program, these posters make perfect anchor charts to be used as guidelines as your students choose books to read.
I have to add this legal disclaimer: The Daily 5 and CAFE are trademarks of The 2 Sisters, Joan Moser and Gail Boushey. The sisters do not authorize or endorse these materials.

Thank you. I don't do Daily 5 yet either but I am thinking of giving it a go next term. I can use your posters either way so thank you.

Thank you so much for posting these, Anita! I am going to print them to use in our library. One of our behavior expectations is to pick a 'just right' book. I think this will be a good visual reminder. ;)

Hi Anita!
ReplyDeleteI just found you through Becca's Daily 5 Linky!
You are going to LOVE Daily 5. This is my fourth year using it with my first graders and I can't imagine teaching without it!
Thank you so much for the freebie! You are so very generous!
